Recorded primarily at <strong>The Village Studios<\/strong> and mastered at <strong>Bernie Grundman Studios<\/strong>, <em>American Heartland<\/em> is available for streaming, downloads, and as an 8-panel CD with a 16-page booklet with poetry, images, lyrics and stories about the music.<\/p>\n<p>On American Heartland, Mosby is joined by two-time <strong>Grammy-winning producer Jeffrey Weber, <\/strong>associate producer and score supervisor <strong>Michael Clark<\/strong>, and top-shelf musicians <strong>Vinnie Colaiuta, Tom Scott, Leeland Sklar, Luis Conte, Michael Manring, Dapo Torimiro, Nick Lane, Lola Kristine, Laura Vall, Dan Fornero, Judy Kang, John Dickson, and Bruce Carver.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mosby\u2019s music synthesizes the show-me sounds of <strong>Missouri<\/strong> into his own genre-defying, evocative language blending<strong> jazz, folk, new age, country, blues, and even samba<\/strong>, to create richly-textured geotemporal soundscapes. In addition to Jeffrey Weber, Mosby has also worked extensively with world-renowned, multi Grammy-winning contemporary folk producer\/guitarist and Windham Hill Records founder <strong>Will Ackerman<\/strong>. Mosby crafts sophisticated yet accessible music, in the tradition of artists like <strong>Steely Dan, Wes Montgomery, James Taylor, and Joni Mitchell.<\/strong> His compositions feature compelling melodic structures and complex instrumental passages that appeal to both seasoned musicians and casual listeners alike.<\/p>\n<p>The production of <em>American Heartland<\/em> reflects a thoughtful collaboration across some of the industry\u2019s most respected studios and engineers. Recording and mixing were led by <strong>Clark Germain<\/strong>, with the album mixed at WonderWorld Studio in Hollywood, California, and additional support from assistant engineer <strong>Nicole Schmidt<\/strong> of Village Studios. Additional recording sessions took place at Shock City Studios in St. Louis, Missouri, engineered by <strong>Sam Swaine<\/strong>, while select solo acoustic guitar tracks were mixed by <strong>Tom Eaton<\/strong> at Sounds &amp; Substance in East Kingston, New Hampshire. The project was mastered by renowned engineer <strong>Chris Bellman<\/strong> at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Los Angeles, ensuring a polished and dynamic final sound. Visual elements were equally considered, with photography by <strong>Andrew Matusik<\/strong> and art direction and design by <strong>Allie Oliver-Barnes<\/strong>, completing a production that is as cohesive visually as it is sonically.<\/p>\n<p>The album\u2019s first single <strong>\u201cPalomino\u201d<\/strong> released on February 20th, giving listeners a sneak peak to the emotionally moving ode to Missouri. On March 20th, <strong>\u201cLand of Green\u201d<\/strong> and the title track <strong>\u201cAmerican Heartland\u201d<\/strong> simultaneously went live.<\/p>\n<p>Music writer <strong>Robin B. James<\/strong> described \u201cPalomino\u201d as, \u201ca piece that lingers, offering replay value for listeners drawn to expressive and meaningful instrumental music.
